Monthly Luxury Car Rental in Dubai vs Leasing vs Buying: The Honest Maths

What a Monthly Luxury Car Rental in Dubai Actually Costs
- Car: Mercedes-Benz C200 2025 — Monthly (AED): 9,999 — Daily equivalent: ~333 — Daily rate if booked by day: 550
- Car: Mercedes-Benz E200 2025 — Monthly (AED): 10,999 — Daily equivalent: ~367 — Daily rate if booked by day: 600
- Car: Cadillac Escalade Black 2024 — Monthly (AED): 25,999 — Daily equivalent: ~867 — Daily rate if booked by day: 1,200
- Car: Range Rover Vogue 2025 — Monthly (AED): 29,999 — Daily equivalent: ~1,000 — Daily rate if booked by day: 1,300
- Car: Mercedes G63 2025 — Monthly (AED): 39,999 — Daily equivalent: ~1,333 — Daily rate if booked by day: 1,900
October 2026 rates. Basic insurance, unlimited mileage and 24/7 roadside assistance included.
The monthly rate on a C200 works out about 40% cheaper per day than booking day by day. On a Range Rover Vogue, about 23%. That's the first lesson: if you're in Dubai for more than three weeks, never book daily. (Weighing up a G-Wagon for a long stay? What Buying Really Costs (Beyond the Price Tag)
When people compare a monthly rental to buying, they usually compare rent against a loan payment. That misses most of the cost.
Owning a luxury car in Dubai means paying for:
- Depreciation. The biggest cost, and the one you don't see until you sell. Luxury SUVs and sedans commonly lose a large share of their value in the first two to three years.
- Comprehensive insurance. Renewed every year, and premiums on high-value cars are substantial.
- Registration and annual test. Mulkiya renewal and inspection.
- Servicing and tyres. Premium brands mean premium service bills. Dubai heat is hard on tyres and batteries.
- Your time. Booking services, dealing with claims, selling the car when you leave.
Add those up honestly and the "cheaper to buy" argument often falls apart for anyone staying less than three or four years.
Leasing: The Middle Option
A traditional lease in the UAE locks you in for a fixed term, often two to four years, with a monthly payment and sometimes a down payment.
Leasing works well if:
- You know you'll be in Dubai for the whole term.
- You want the same car the entire time.
- Your employer pays or reimburses a fixed amount.
It works poorly if your plans might change. Early termination on a lease can be expensive.
When Monthly Rental Wins
Monthly rental is the strongest choice in five situations we see regularly:
1. New arrivals. You've just moved to Dubai and your residency, bank account or UAE licence isn't sorted yet. A monthly rental gets you moving on day one.
2. Project-based professionals. Consultants and contractors on 3- to 9-month assignments. No commitment beyond the project.
3. Seasonal residents. Winter-only residents from Europe or elsewhere who spend November to April in Dubai. Why own a car that sits for six months of summer?
4. Trying before buying. Thinking about buying a Range Rover? Rent one for a month first. You'll know about the boot space, the fuel bill and the parking at your building before spending hundreds of thousands.
5. Executives who want variety. Switch from a sedan for the week to an SUV for a family visit. That's not possible with a lease.

When Buying or Leasing Wins
Be honest with yourself. Buying probably makes more sense if:
- You'll stay in Dubai for four or more years.
- You drive a lot every day and want one car long term.
- You enjoy owning and caring for a car.
- You can absorb depreciation without it hurting.
We'd rather tell you that than sign you into a rental that doesn't fit.
A Worked Example: Six Months in a Range Rover Vogue
Six months at AED 29,999 comes to about AED 180,000. Insurance, servicing, registration and roadside assistance are included. You hand the keys back at the end. No resale, no negotiation, no listing photos.
Now compare that with buying a new Range Rover and selling it six months later. The difference between purchase price and resale value, plus insurance and registration, often comes close to or exceeds the rental total. And you've spent weeks on the paperwork.
Run the numbers for your own case. If buying still wins, buy.

Is it cheaper to rent monthly or daily in Dubai?
Monthly is much cheaper per day. A Mercedes C200 costs about AED 333 per day on a monthly rental versus AED 550 when booked daily. If you need a car for more than three weeks, book monthly.
Is it cheaper to rent or buy a luxury car in Dubai?
For stays of under three to four years, renting is often cheaper once you include depreciation, insurance, registration and servicing. For long stays with high daily use, buying can work out cheaper.
What is included in a monthly luxury car rental?
Quick Luxe monthly rentals include basic insurance, unlimited mileage within the UAE and 24/7 roadside assistance. Fuel, Salik tolls and fines are paid by the renter.
Can I rent a luxury car monthly without a UAE licence?
Visitors can rent with an accepted home licence and, for some nationalities, an International Driving Permit. New residents should switch to a UAE licence once their residency is issued.
Can I change cars during a monthly rental?
Ask our team about switching options when you book. Flexibility to change vehicles is one of the main advantages of renting over leasing.
What happens if my monthly rental car needs a service?
Quick Luxe arranges servicing and maintenance. If the car needs to come off the road, we provide a replacement vehicle so you're not left without a car.
Do monthly rentals require a deposit?
Quick Luxe normally offers rentals without a large deposit, but special terms can apply on some long-term bookings. All terms are confirmed in writing before you commit.
Can a company rent a luxury car monthly for an employee?
Yes. Corporate monthly rentals are common for executives and project staff. Contact our team for corporate arrangements and invoicing.
What is the difference between leasing and monthly rental in the UAE?
Leasing usually locks you into a fixed two-to-four-year term. Monthly rental can be renewed month to month, includes insurance and servicing, and lets you return the car when your plans change.
